We had a truly amazing experience in Orkney with our client Janet Fallow, Chair of Workington Harbour Board. We were attending the British Ports Association 2011Annual Conference held in Orkney, with our eyes and ears wide open -  we will be organising this exciting event next year, which will be hosted by the Port of Workington.

Orkney is one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland.  We were blown away not just by the wind but by the wealth of history both ancient and modern. The people and the hospitality we received everywhere we stayed and visited was a real credit to the islands. We would like to congratulate the team for a really excellent and informative conference, set in the most stunning surroundings.

We are delighted to be organising next year’s annual conference on behalf of The Port of Workington and Cumbria. We have been developing our plans for the Cumbria 2012 conference for the last few months; it’s amazing the amount of planning and thought that goes into organising any event, let alone an event bringing together industry specialists and experts from all over the Country.
